Yoga, night walk and mindful stargazing

Yoga, night meander and mindful stargazing

High Dalby House, Dalby Forest - with guest teacher Mark Westmoquette

When was the last time you looked up at the night sky with wonder and curiosity? Just looked up in awe at the vastness of the universe?

Mindful stargazing is nothing to do with maps or facts. It's an immersive experience of looking up at the night sky with inquisitiveness. It'll also leave you feeling calmer and more grounded as you connect to your celestial home.

The evening will be led by Mark Westmoquette (a former professional astrophysicist turned yoga and Zen teacher) and Alison Goodwin - the owner of Adventures for the Soul.

Run in partnership with High Dalby House, a boutique retreat with stunning grounds, the location couldn't be more perfect. Given there'll be no light from the moon this evening and Dalby Forest is the darkest place to observe stars, you'll be in for a real treat!

You'll start the evening with a deeply grounded Zen yoga and qigong practice with Mark. All done indoors in the warmth of High Dalby's chapel.

Afterwards,  Alison will take you on a short, sensory night- time walk around the woods. Why? Walking at night is such an incredible thing to do because it makes you feel amazing and enhances your experience . You'll essentially see and hear so much more.

You'll have a hot drink to warm you up before heading out for a mindful stargazing session with Mark. If the weather is inclement we'll head indoors as we've got some other awesome delights in store for you!

We'll end the evening with a buffet and another hot drink, all prepared by our wonderful hosts, Ian and Linda, from High Dalby House.

Obviously we can't guarantee if we'll see stars or that we'll have good weather. During or after extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to change, postpone or cancel the event. You'll find our cancellation terms here.
