Bonfire night with a difference

Bonfire Night with a difference - event cancelled

Roseberry Topping, North York Moors National Park, England

What you'll do

What better way is there to see the fireworks than from the top of a hill? From such a vantage point on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, we can see the plains below and different public and private firework displays for miles around!

In 2021 we were lucky enough to even see a firework display from the summit of Roseberry Topping which made it look like a volcano! We had so much fun, we're doing it again.

Climbing to the top of Roseberry Topping, you'll be rewarded with stunning views. In the dark distance, you'll see shimmering lights from larger and smaller settlements.

On clear nights, constellations can be seen from here too. Interspersed with vibrant colours from collective displays below, we're sure it'll be an awesome light show!

Of course we can't guarantee the weather, but even if it's cloudy, walking at night is an incredible experience that is invigorating, immersive and good for the soul.

But this isn't any old night walk. You'll learn more about the night sky above you. And we'll teach you how to ‘fine tune’ your senses through a little mindfulness so you'll get even more out of the experience too.

The result? Your WOW-factor will be ramped up. You'll feel calmer and those worries you had earlier, may just disappear.

Walk information

Although the walk will not be longer than 3 miles, the hill is very steep in places. Be prepared for rough ground and mud too. For your comfort, a good level of fitness will be needed for this activity.
